Yeah, saw that. couldn't read beyond the paywall, but really didn't get the point on Sea of Japan. It's not a geographic story. From a geopolitical or Naval standpoint, US will never get bogged down inside the Sea of Japan. It projects its power in the Pacific. As for the semi ecosystem point, I don't believe for a second that Trump doesn't intend to have the whole value chain in America. Japan is fully integrated as a partner, but geographically, 100% manufacturing inside the US borders is the plan. Japan will build a parallel value chain, for sure, so too will Europe.
